Programme Note
Threads explores the multifaceted symbolism of “thread,” celebrating music-making within the concise framework of an orchestral prelude. It begins with a single “thread”—a simple 5-note motif. As the music progresses, it intertwines with numerous instruments, eventually expanding into multiple threads of orchestral voices.

對音樂家來說，「線」有著深遠的意義。無論是音樂的軌跡，樂句的線性，或是管弦樂中各個聲部交織在一起的匯聚成流，甚至於每個音符下的五「線」譜，都與之息息相關。這個作品就是由「線」的多種意義展開聯想，在管弦樂序曲短小精悍的框架內來展現當今交響樂團無窮的張力。演奏這部作品，聆聽這件作品，就彷彿穿越在一條音樂之線上——我們追尋著音樂的軌跡，體驗著音符的跳動，感受著音樂的情感。©周天
